We were at Galström. Celebrating Anton's birthday.  Right now christian is in bed and I am on the way there...

Trying to do yard work

I was trying to cut the grass today, because after many days of rain it has grown a lot. So as I am cutting, I repeatedly had to clean out the mower, and obviously having it turned off.... So after many times of doing this... I run out of gas, in the middle of cutting... So I go and get the gas can and what do I find........ It was empty.

So this is what my yard looks like right now... until I can get gas (which is tomorrow). 

Christian was working, and I was bored so I decided to bake. The top is regular vanilla cookies, and the bottom is the same recipe but with cinnamon in them. 

Trying to keep up to date.

I don't have much to write today but I am trying to get in the habit of writing in my blog so sorry if this is not that intresting..  




Yesterday, Christian painted his car (to get ride of all the rust) so that we can sell it... While he did that I trimmed Chenille's nails, gave her a hair cut and also a bath... so she the the spa treatment.

Today we have washed the car and did the first step before waxing it.... we are doing that tomorrow. Have taken a nap and read our books.... again nothing exciting today... We are going to head out and go cycle for a little bit... 

..... We just took a little ride, because there is a street meet ( people gather and show off there cars and they have fun drifting in circles).  When we get home we might play a little bit of Guitar Hero Worriers of Rock, but we will see... 

What is NOT fun with the house

To start off with. We found that we have water damage from the previous owner. That we have to fix and that means tearing up the floor in the living room. 

Then when I was going to go the the bathroom this morning I found this "little" guy waiting for me. So what did I do.... those that know me probaply think that I screamed and asked some one else to take care of it but in fact.... What I did was take the sweeper and swept him up... (to chenilles dismay.... she does not like our central sweeper)

Last November we had an unexpected guest that decided to live with us and chenille found him... guess what it was.... a RAT. Not one of those little mice I mean a RAT.  Well he did not last long that is for sure...

Right not the last thing is that we are going to replace all of the windows so that we have better insolation in the winter... I know that it is going to be for the good but right now it is a bit of a head ache.

Life

Lets see... I have been taking care of the garden which is trimming, cutting the grass, spraying the apple trees (we have nasty little larvae that love the trees), trimming the hedge, etc... I have made rhubarb jam, juice and pie. Soon I am going to be making apple pie, jam, juice along with blackcurrant and gooseberries jam, juice and pie. I currently have a rose bush and my first rose bloomed yesterday.

Chenille is currently like the fact that we have a fence up now. She runs around and consequently barks at people that walk past... it was a lot more before but it is getting under control now.

We found that we have a root cellar that has jam and juice from 1978 till 1984.

Amazingly enough is that the 1978 jam is still good and Christian is eating it.
